Mental Health in Black community

For this School project, I had to analyse the impact of COVID-19 on a local community in terms of a Sustainable Development Goal selected, SDG 3, to identify a design challenge resulting from the effect of COVID-19 and to define a design strategy and a high concept for a graphic design solution to address the challenge.
Black Dialogue
Johannesburg, SA

Black Dialogue is a podcast series covering the mental health issues solely based on the black community. A space to talk about who gives a black man permission to feel, all the boys not given permission to feel, grief and mourning
The concept for the Black Dialogue is based on literal interpretation of the name. Black dialogue is represented by two letters back-to-back that looks like headsets to represent listening to a sort of conversation. Conversations conveyed using quotation marks, an also known punctuation used at the beginning and end to set off direct speech, a quotation, or a phrase.
The QR will enable the individual to scan, and lead them to a Podcast, Black Dialogue
This podcast will focus on very sensitive topic that’s black men are usually afraid to confront and speak out about, it would be a podcast that is educational because it would include seasons of different men coming through with their stories and daily newsletter that they would continuously receive that speaks about certain coping mechanisms for mental health, therapeutic sessions and free advice from real therapist that would also include contact details of a therapist that they would feel comfortable reaching out to if they ever consider a therapist.
